We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead and manage our Brewster Branch. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains a professional, courteous demeanor and provides customer service of the highest quality.
  • Provides direct supervision to all staff, working closely on a daily basis with the Operations Supervisors and Personal Bankers.
  • Manage direct reports to maximize productivity efficiency, and career growth. Performs coaching, performance evaluations, as disciplinary actions as needed. Participates in candidate interviews and selection.
  • Performs personnel duties including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; supervises the daily activities of branch, but not limited to, effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules and providing necessary training.
  • Actively engages in business development and civic initiatives with contacts throughout the community, including customers and prospective customers to achieve defined goals. Leads lending and deposit business in the local marketplace. Calls on customers to expand existing business. Calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand customer base.
  • Works closely with Personal Banker to support customer on-boarding, does customer outreach to thank the customer, ascertain customer service satisfaction, resolve potential issues, and to sell and cross-sell bank accounts and services.
  • Ensures customer concerns and questions are resolved promptly. Handles customer complaints and provided resolutions. Ensures customers are informed of company services and policies. Councils customers regarding their financial needs and services requested.
  • Ensures implementation and compliance to meet security precautions and protect customer deposits, bank assets and staff. Consistently applies sound decision-making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals, and requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures; keeps within assigned approval limits. Assures audit compliance and procedure quality control through the branch operational review and recommends and initiates corrective actions. Ensures the branch is in compliance with established bank policies, procedures and state and cash limits.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
  • Maintains professional appearance of the branch. Responsible for scheduling branch maintenance.
About You:
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A two-year college degree at a business or trade school and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The salary range for this position is $65,500.00 to $70,000.00 per year. Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
