Job Title: Brand Ambassador
Job Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Supervisor: Marketing Manager
Location: AVECCC Peoria, AVECCC Buckeye, and surrounding service areas
Job Summary:
As a Brand Ambassador, responsibilities include promoting our hospital’s brand with the pet owning community and our referring veterinary community. The Brand Ambassador will help create content for AVECCC’s social media platforms and assist with online reputation projects, while acting as an advocate for AVECCC by creating increased brand awareness. The Brand Ambassador will provide referral outreach with regular interaction with our pDVM community for AVECCC Peoria and AVECCC Buckeye locations, with the goal of building meaningful value-added referral relationships. The referral outreach program will require working with the Marketing Manager to make strategic decisions in implementing marketing programs, compiling regional market competition data, provide regular reporting to identify and address opportunities with the AVECCC Leadership team. The Brand Ambassador will be responsible for using their own personal vehicle to complete outreach visits and other Vet Community events and will need to submit mileage reports for reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Social Media
- Grow the AVECCC social media platforms for Peoria and Buckeye locations
- Share regular patient success stories from all locations
- Collaborate with Marketing Manager to plan a content calendar and to identify any gaps in the social media accounts
- Create unique posts to highlight our team, testimonials, special moments (i.e. staff birthdays, anniversaries)
- Identify ways to increase our audience and reach through organic and paid placements
- Ensure branding is clear and recognizable on all social media posts
- Schedule regular educational content on our social media channels
Online Reputation
- Assist Marketing Manager in monitoring AVECCC’s online reviews and reputation
- Respond to positive reviews in a meaningful way
- Work with Marketing Manager to craft responses to negative reviews and identify when to reach out to the leadership team
- Write thank you emails to clients about their positive reviews and ask for permission to share on our social media
- Identify and create "Testimonial Tuesday" posts for social media accounts
- Create monthly reports with our online reputation summary for the leadership team to review
- Assist Marketing Manager with adding positive reviews in our monthly staff newsletter
Referral Outreach
- Visit GP veterinary offices with the goal of building key referral relationships, deliver AVECCC marketing materials, answer questions, and communicate important AVECCC announcements
- Record visit notes in a timely manner
- Regular reporting with Marketing Manager to discuss visit interaction and notes
- Take initiative to lead projects that increase AVECCC awareness and referrals
- Collaborate with Marketing Manager on regional event participation and coordinate CE opportunities
- Ensure inventory is well stocked and that the collateral information is current and ready to deliver to GP offices
- Clearly communicate issues and opportunities from pDVM visits to AVECCC Leadership Team
- Provide a monthly Referral Outreach Report to local leadership team
- Assist pDVM community in accessing our records portal.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to establish an appropriate referral outreach budget
- Plan strategic thank you gifts and food deliverables designed to build our referral relationships
- Maintains GP contact information in databases
- Troubleshoots any glitches or concerns from GPs about medical record portal access
Project Management
- Assist Marketing Manager with extra projects as assigned
- Informs appropriate leadership team of project progression
- Stays on task and completes the task on time
- Assist in promoting Vet Care Foundation and identify ways to build this fund at all locations
Team
- Participates in Team meetings as necessary to:
- Identify areas for improvement
- Ensure consistent messages are being provided
- Develop a cohesive relationship with members of leadership team
- Communicates directly with the AVECCC team updates or changes
- Adherence to governing agency regulations.
- Establishes and reinforces a supportive team environment with all team members.
- Resolves pDVM, client, and team member needs, concerns, and complaints.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
- Other projects as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer proficiency (required)
- One year of experience in a marketing position or currently pursuing a marketing degree (required)
- Marketing experience in the veterinary field (preferred)
- Manage time and tasks appropriately and remain flexible with assigned duties
- Reporting and data analysis skills
- Problem solving and resolution management skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office suite; veterinary practice management software knowledge preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills with staff and clients, and works well in a team environment
- Customer service strategies and effective marketing techniques
