The Task At Hand:
The Brand Manager, Baby reports to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing and will manage the development of the long-term strategy and operational plans for our baby portfolio, in partnership with the Brand Coordinator and Brand Manager, Kid. This role will focus on identifying consumer and category unmet needs while shaping opportunities to expand our brand to new consumers, channels, forms and innovation opportunities, categories, and adjacencies. Core responsibilities include mining consumer insights, product life cycle management, pricing strategies and management, channel strategies, product positioning, innovation mapping, and GTM planning.
In This Role, You Will:
Business Management
- Assist in developing long-term growth and brand-building strategies grounded in this category, channel, and consumer insights regularly reporting on KPIs and brand health benchmarks of success
- Monitor baby product line and category trends
- Analyze brand performance versus objectives, identify risks and opportunities and communicate recommendations
Marketing
- Be the voice of our consumer
- Be an equally confident manager of external research agencies/ vendors and internal DIY research/ analytics
- Translate insights into frameworks, strategies, and guidance that much be embraced by junior-level employees all the way to Leadership Team
- Showcase presenting and storytelling skills that can captivate and inspire teams, influence partners, and make complex information easy to understand/ apply
- Build a comprehensive innovation strategy and 3-year innovation pipeline that is grounded in jobs-to-be-done, with a robust ‘where to play’ and ‘how to win’ framework
- Develop competitive frameworks to identify brand positioning and differentiation - As part of building a strong pipeline, you will ensure all concepts are rooted in consumer insights and have been vetted based on the size of the prize, P&Ls, value proposition, and operational complexity
- Analyze syndicated data, identify business drivers and recommend actions for product innovation
- Develop Stage Gate materials: Prioritize, develop, and execute the delivery of top-priority projects ensuring early-phase collaboration between all internal partners
- Assist in defining product proposition, determine the source of competitive advantage, develop winning claims, review nutrition panels and ingredient statements, and recommend pricing, while moving with agility using a mix of fact-based and intuitive decisions
- Work closely with the Operations team to determine co-manufacturers' capabilities, timelines, and potential roadblocks
- Aids and monitors product line forecasting- develop forecasting for new product launches, new promotions, phase-outs, and other activities
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to build out the GTM plan for the baby portfolio for the year from idea to conception. Work with the creative team to bring visuals/ copy to life
- Once launched, compile comprehensive analysis (monthly consumption reporting) and deliver recommendations on key product tests and potential for broader distribution, making recommendations for improvements when necessary
- May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary
Must Haves:
- Prefer 5 years of Brand Management professional experience in the CPG or food and beverage space; familiarity with baby and kid products a plus!
- Prefer prior P&L and forecasting understanding
- Prior experience telling a story with consumer data required
- Entrepreneurial, with experience scaling a rapidly growing business or product line
- Cross-functional leader, experienced in operating within and across R&D, marketing, category insights, analytics, and operations
- Excellent project management skills and highly organized
- Passionate, able to sell a vision to those around you while being willing to change your mind when new information comes to light
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, Smartsheet, and other professional platforms
- Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter

Compensation:
- Full-Time, Exempt
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $115,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
