PAY RATE: $18.75/hr.
WORK LOCATION: Houston, TX
SHIFT: Monday - Friday (8 hour shifts, rotating) -
4am - 12pm
12pm - 8pm
8pm - 4am

Friday Night (8pm) to Saturday Morning (4am) = $2/hr.
- Over 40 hours = 1.5 X pay*

- ROLE SUMMARY: *
- This Brewer I is primarily responsible for s afely and efficiently producing high quality beer!*
- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *

- Manages the overall technical brewing processes for integrity and capability.
- Brewing recipes to spec
- Tank Management
- Troubleshooting
- Use of proper and safe chemical handling techniques
- Duties and tasks are simple and repetitive.
- Follows existing policies, practices and procedures.
- Refers questions and problems to higher levels.
- Identifies and reports quality concerns.
- Produces quality wort according to SOP’s including, but not limited to, target gravity, IBU, color and volume.
- Perform daily job duties including, but not limited to: CIP, malt milling, operating brew house, wort transfers, yeast pitching, fermentation monitoring, general cleaning, beer tasting.
- Comfortable working with chemicals of varying composition and maintaining adherence to safety standards at all times during routine cleaning of brewing equipment.
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with laws, regulations, and accepted business ethics.
- Ability to perform frequent physical activity in the form of lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, etc.
- Capable of frequently lifting and carrying 50 pounds.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: *

- High school education or equivalent
- College Degree preferred
- One year of comparable brewing experience in a craft brewery preferred
- Operator based maintenance or manufacturing maintenance assignment
- Problem solving experience
- Ability to interpret process and instrumentation diagrams
- A strong mechanical and problem solving attitude
