The Taproom Associate is a multifaceted service position, focused on creating an outstanding customer experience by creating a positive, inviting, and fun environment for our guests. This includes having solid knowledge of Blackberry Farm Brewery beers and beer styles from around the world, food, merchandising, and the service of food and beer in the taproom. This is a full-time position that will work Wednesday to Sunday before, during, and after normal operating hours. This position is an hourly wage including tips.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Execute excellent food, draft beer and bottle service according to company standards
• Have an excellent understanding of our food and beer menus and be able to articulate our menu for our guests
• Strong focus on driving sales and delivering refined customer experience
• Execute the companys service standards consistent with the company processes
• Resolve customer issues with outstanding service and diplomatic skills
• Apply strategic thinking and personal ownership to continue sales growth
• Consistently implement the company's visual presentation and merchandising standards for our retail offering
• Be able to work unsupervised in the absence of the manager or supervisor (take ownership of the taproom and merchandise).
• Stay on task, take the initiative to see what needs to be done in the taproom or storage areas.
• Assist with monthly inventory of taproom, storage areas, and satellite locations
• Provide product feedback and suggestions to Taproom Manager based on guest's wants needs and requests.
• Maintains merchandise and shop including restocking, receiving, shipping, and organizing
• Sets-up and breaks-down taproom service area
• Routinely cleans and maintains dispensing and service equipment.
• Must be able to remain calm under high-pressure situations

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.

Must have the flexibility to work nights and weekends.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in customer service or retail

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Must be capable of learning new computer software programs quickly
• Have a solid computer and various software knowledge: POS, Inventory systems, Excel, Word and Outlook

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to communicate with guests, team members, and managers effectively

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of math

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand for long periods
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work in wet, hot and cold conditions

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Taproom Retail/ Brewery/ Storage Areas
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding guest service environment
