We are seeking a flexible, personable & compassionate personality adaptable to working with older adults to join our dynamic Life Enrichment Team!
This is a flexible hours position: ranging from 2 to 6 hours per outing on average. Driver must be willing to work an average of 1 to 3 weekend trips per month - and an occasional evening. Strong sense of direction and the ability to drive a 14 passenger van locally and into Boston.

The Bus Driver supports the Life Enrichment Department for15-20 hours per week.

- Assisting coordinator with trip planning and details.
- Assisting residents with transfers and ambulation as necessary.
- Loading and unloading residents in and out of vehicles.
- Driving to and from specific destinations.
- Obtaining and maintaining a current Medical Card.
- Maintaining a flexible schedule so as to be able to meet needs of residents to include limited weekends, nights and holidays. Also requires flexibility when bus trips may be canceled to include alternate tasks for down time.
- Maintaining the vehicle with sufficient fuel to assure safe trips.
- On-going communication with any vehicle challenges (i.e. noises, warning lights, etc.)
- Keeping the interior and exterior of the bus clean.
- Attending appropriate life enrichment meetings as assigned.
- Maintaining ongoing communication in evaluation of trips and communicating needs and issue of residents involved.
- Performing alternate tasks when scheduled time is not occupied by bus duties.
- Assist with other Life Enrichment Department functions as needed.
- Assuring a safe work environment for self and others.
- Attending an annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know information and fire and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- The driver will have at least 12 years of education and have attained the legal age of employment in the State.
- Valid New Hampshire commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement or a regular drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to sit and continuously perform essential job functions for a full shift.
- Ability to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
