SmartLink-Linking People to Transportation
WHAT IS SMARTLINK: Anyone who lives in Carver County can call to schedule a ride. Keep in mind the buses are not a taxi service but rather a reservation-based bus service available for anyone who may not have access to a vehicle or a reliable ride to his or her destination.
Generally, reservations are booked two to seven days in advance and the service includes door-to-door pickup and drop off.

We need people who like to work with people. Our clients are great and our drivers feel that this is a rewarding job.
We are hiring for multiple positions for full-time and par-time. We have some shifts where you can work four days per week with a 10 hour shift. Other shifts are 8 hours.
Are you semi-retired? We work with you to offer flexible schedules and time off when you need it.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time for your shift
- Conduct a Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection
- Follow scheduled trips and document trip information
- Collect Fares
- Follow DOT Standards and regulations
- Maintain a secure environment for passengers, including escorting riders from the curb of the pick-up or drop-off point to and from the vehicle and providing physical assistance to passengers, when requested
- Exercising patience and sensitivity toward all passengers and practices professionalism in action and in speech to family members, staff at offices and agencies and the general public
Requirements:
- VALID CDL C/B/A with Passenger Endorsement
- Safe driving history - a couple of infractions are acceptable.
- Interest in working with people
- High school degree or equivalent
- Willing to provide employment recommendations
