The Opportunity
Reporting to the Founder of Lovelle, we are looking for an inspired, knowledgeable, and motivated Business Administrator/Operations Manager to assist across many different areas of the business. This is a unique role which will be a trusted partner to the Founder and spokesperson for their needs and vision across Qurate Retail Group.
You will support the Founder with administrative and strategic functions including building presentations for leadership, conducting research and preparing reports, handling information requests and special projects, tracking deadlines and deliverables for the Founder on behalf of both the Lovelle and Qurate leadership teams, managing meetings/ events and coordinating other administrative tasks with the Qurate Finance, Procurement and Legal teams.
You will work with a diverse group of partners, both internally and externally, at all levels of the organization.
Who We Are
Lovelle is a video shopping startup and a new, digitally-native video commerce platform launching this fall and backed by Qurate Retail Group. Lovelle is led by seasoned entrepreneur Matt Matros and is building an office and team based in New York City. We are tasked with attracting new video commerce customers via their small screens including smart phones and other mobile devices. Although the startup enjoys autonomy to create a new consumer-centric shopping experience, it also leverages expertise and resources of Qurate Retail Group at large.
Lovelle is a startup initiative from Qurate Retail Group's newest business unit - vCommerce Ventures - which is designed to accelerate our innovation in livestream commerce and establish our leadership in this space while also supporting the continued expansion of QVC's and HSN's linear video commerce experiences to new audiences. vCommerce Ventures brings together livestream commerce teams and initiatives from across QVC and HSN into a separate, global business unit, with dedicated marketing, business development, content development and production, programming, planning, and merchandising resources. Your Impact
  • Be a trusted partner to the Founder and be a spokesperson for the Lovelle vision across the organization
  • Help prioritize requests from the business and Qurate corporate team every day
  • Prioritize rhythm and messaging regarding important projects to Shared Services teams (Finance, Legal, People) and communicate with our organization
  • Manage important tasks in partnership with Shared Services teams, including vendor and legal compliance, budget management, payment and reporting, and more
  • Manage rhythm of business processes and maintain status of main projects throughout the Group (e.g., organize monthly metrics meetings, weekly team meetings)
  • Create agendas and presentations to guide weekly team members, monthly MBRs
  • Research and create visual, compelling, executive-level business presentations
  • Maintain the department finances and budget related to administrative expenses, including office equipment and supplies, reconciliation of expenses, travel costs
  • Support onboarding and assisting new team members and vendors as the business grows
  • Coordinate with and oversee complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the department
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or University Degree, or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years experience in Business Operations, Finance, Customer Success or other related disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience working in startup environments or new eCommerce business experience
  • Experience partnering across multiple teams, influence, and connect with all partners
Candidates looking for an exciting start-up environment and growth opportunities with significant earning potential - based on the success of the new organization - this is the company for you! Our compensation package is a competitive combination of base salary, short-term annual bonus and long-term cash-based incentives. Base salary for this role ranges from $100,000-$120,000 plus the strong annual and long-term variable incentives noted. Salary ranges are general guideline only, and actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience and geographic location as well as business and market conditions. This compensation package provides significant rewards to the candidate over-time based on company performance and personal success.
