This role serves as an innovative and collaborative business partner with responsibility for the successful development of targeted information technology solutions in support of strategic business initiatives and customer requirements. The key focus of this role is the extraction, development, and translation of business requirements from internal and external customers for delivery to internal software development teams. This role will work closely with both sales and development teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for converting business requirements from our customers into functional specification documents.
• Lead “Discovery/Innovation Sessions” to identify opportunities with the customer and enhance operational effectiveness in a meaningful way.
• Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
• Identify and recommend business process improvements to reduce effort, increase work quality, and mitigate bottlenecks, and prepare process documentation, workflows, and functional requirements for the future state.
• Manages requirements, tests developmental systems, tracks discrepancies, analyzes requirements and writes test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Assist in all phases of testing software applications, as well as documenting test plans and procedures.
• Develops and maintains software documentation including user manuals, help screens, training materials, test scenarios, test plans and technical/functional specifications
• Communicates needed changes to Software Development Teams.
• Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
• Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
• May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
• Ability to manipulate large sets of data is also required. Develops and refines analysis templates for problem diagnosis and opportunities assessment.
• Develops predictive models and other tools that help predict data trends.
• Conducts in-depth research to address challenging issues in measuring outcomes.
• Collaborate with businesses and technical areas to implement new or enhanced products.
• Complete Data analysis for targeted risk reviews, regulatory reviews and ad hoc requests

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in supporting software development teams preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. This job is focused on complex and varied metrics, making recommendations and providing assistance to staff.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and build unity to achieve program objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to present complex concepts to groups of varying levels of technical and management responsibility and experience, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills, including the ability to work closely with customers and conduct high level meetings with clients.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Work Environment

• This position works in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. There is moderate noise level due to general office noise.

Physical Demands

• Candidates must be able to sit, read, work on a computer, and watch a computer screen for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation. Occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
