Capture Manager Job Description
Location: Remote
Position Description:
The capture manager devises a strategy for searching out promising new business opportunities and clients and turning those opportunities into new business for the company. Your primary responsibility will be to identify opportunities and support the capture lifecycle with activities such as conducting market analysis, support the Proposal Manager by responding to RFIs and RFPs, and generating price volumes. Experience with the Healthcare, Information Technology, or Cyber Security is preferred. This job positing is in support of or Corporate Office and will be supporting our Business Development Team.

- Detailed understanding of Government contracting, DoD acquisitions and the FAR for the professional services industry.
- Proven experience identifying and capturing Federal Government contracts.
- Advanced knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite software to create presentations, author documents and conduct financial analysis.
- Must have proven success capturing accounts.
- Must have exceptional leadership and management skills.
- Must have superior organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be an expert decision-maker with sound judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Business Development activities conducting market analysis to identify Federal Contracting opportunities across a wide array of industries.
- Collaborate with Government Contracting Officers and other Government leaders to understand opportunities and arrange capabilities briefings.
- Assign specific duties to team members.
- Maintain business development pipelines and CRM repositories.
- Prepare and review Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Provide proposal management support across all phases (RFP analysis, proposal scheduling, subcontracts/teaming collaboration, technical writing/editing, pricing analysis, business volume creation and production).
- Organize and facilitate proposal reviews and debriefings (Pink-Red-Gold Teams).
- Develop content, perform editing and proofreading of all proposal content to rapidly produce clear and accurate documents. Edit for grammar, accuracy, organization, and spelling. Format documents for a professional, effective, and consistent appearance.
- Develop marketing and presentation materials.
- Maintain proposal libraries, capabilities briefings and other marketing libraries.
- Coordinate and support contract phase-in/transitions.
- Travel as required to contract sites, partner offices, and on other company business.
- Closes the deal or makes the final sale and brings in new business for the company for the best possible price.
- Understands every aspect of a business opportunity including the scope of the project, resources needed, the impact on schedules, competitive pricing, and budget concerns.
- Holds meetings to ensure the work on the proposal is moving forward quickly enough to meet the deadline.
- Establishes and builds relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Develops a plan for making regular contact with prospective client targets.
- Studies key competitors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Twelve or more years of relevant acquisition work experience; technical writing and pricing/price analysis experience is desirable.
- Detailed understanding of Government contracting, DoD acquisitions and the FAR for the professional services industry.
- Proven experience identifying and capturing Federal Government contracts.
- Advanced knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite software to create presentations, author documents and conduct financial analysis.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
- GovCon/ GSA/ 621 experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in applicable discipline.
