Job Summary
The Business Development Coordinator will connect small and micro-businesses in the Buckeye, Central, and Kinsman neighborhoods (service area) to various support opportunities. This position is responsible for leading BBC programming and initiatives that support both economic and workforce development.
Essential Functions
Provides technical assistance to businesses to relocate, expand, or modify operations in the BBC service area.
Supports residents in the development of viable business ventures.
Acts as the organization liaison with the East Design Review Committee.
Connects merchants with financial resources for their small business such as the Storefront Renovation Program.
Uses varied resources to mentor and train small business owners and managers in dealing with financial, marketing, and other operational and business opportunities and challenges.
Coordinates with US Small Business Administration and other Agency resource partners operating within service area to maximize the effectiveness of the Small Business Community Navigator program and avoid duplication of products and services and completes necessary reports.
