About the role:

We are looking for a Business Development Representative who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cell tower business for NOVEC. This will include: sales, marketing, project management, financial management, legal and customer support for all cell tower activities in the NOVEC territory. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, averaging 20+ hours per week at our Manassas, VA location.

Overview of the role:

• Proactively initiate contacts, and sales leads and work to close site acquisition cell tower sale leads with prospective and existing service providers, site acquisition companies, and other tower owners. Negotiate the final lease terms with the cellular customer.
• Stay abreast of the latest telecommunication technology to fully understand and translate cellular customer business requirements.
• Design marketing programs that target service providers and site acquisition companies.
• Act as the primary interface with both existing and new customers and third-party contractors for all on-site work related to equipment upgrades, new installations, and retrofits. Work with NOVEC's outside cell tower engineering and legal firm as needed to support your work efforts. Including all customer-related support questions and matters including i. emergency site access, ii. billing inquiries, and iii. normal tower access privileges.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or Energy Management related discipline from an accredited institution is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five years of directly related experience in cell tower management, marketing, and sales.

Professional Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrate and apply working knowledge of sales strategies, financial and market analysis, and forecasting, including the ability to apply the analytical methodology to problem-solving and decision-making and relate theoretical and/or technical concepts to practical application.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and the general public both orally and in writing while maintaining professionalism and control under all circumstances.
• Demonstrated ability to apply business and technical writing skills complemented by strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to apply working knowledge of and ability to operate a personal computer and related software systems including strong skills with all Microsoft Office products. Knowledge and experience with accounting procedures, practices, and systems would be a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to perform job responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner within established guidelines under minimal supervision while providing superior customer service.
