ACG is seeking a Business Engineering / Architect Lead supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program. The DHMSM program provides modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the DoD, a $4.6B contract, known as MHS Genesis. This highly visible and impactful program is designed to deploy a new electronic health record to the military health system, supporting nearly 10 million service members and their families. ACG, a partner in the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH), is seeking candidates to support a number of positions to define, implement, deploy and sustain new capabilities for the MHS GENESIS DoD Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system.

Job ID 2022-213. Pay $165,000/yr.
Candidates must be willing to comply with COVID-19 precautions such as testing / masking / social distancing.

Position Responsibilities

This role will serve as a hands on System / Software Architect with excellent presentation / communication skills to guide emerging product enhancements. Note that this is not a project / program manager role. Cerner / EHR background is a plus. HL7 Interfacing / OpenLink experience very helpful.

  • Identify & propose architect and technical solution in different areas: Interfaces, system performance, external systems, database & etc.
  • Work with Engineering Leads to develop pitch decks which cover requirements, engineering approaches, architecture solutions and etc.
  • Deliver and present pitches to government technical teams during monthly program review and quarterly summit.
  • Provide technical guidance across the engineering lifecycle (analyze, design, build, test, deploy, support)
  • Participate in the introduction of new capabilities and the enhancement or troubleshooting of existing capabilities
  • Present new solutions, capabilities to large government audiences and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to understand/learn new technologies when encountered
  • Assist in the development of detailed designs, data flow diagrams, and everything in between.
  • Meld commercial products with custom developed solutions to meet functional requirements while working within the constraints of the client’s IT and cyber infrastructure
  • Work independently within a matrixed organization

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • BS Degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain ADP2/IT2 Public Trust. Federal Government requirement.
  • Hands on Solution Architect with excellent briefing skill to executive level
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Ensuring small project compliance with corporate/program technical guidelines
  • Demonstrating leadership skills and possessing a track record across various life-cycle phases (cross-functional experience highly desirable)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment
  • Requirements interpretation and decomposition
  • Software development methodologies, including testing
