SUMMARY
This position requires proven database querying and analytic skills in combination with superior communication abilities to deliver relevant, timely and insightful information to the business. The successful applicant will be able to collaborate and communicate with all levels of management to provide reporting and critical information to support the strategic initiatives and daily operations of the bank’s business lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Creating analysis and visualization tools for business data, metrics, and measures which allow staff to align and track data against overall business strategies, goals, and objectives driving innovation, insight, and decision making
  • Maintaining a library portfolio of model documents, templates, or other reusable assets
  • Supporting logical and physical data modeling to support business intelligence initiatives
  • Assisting with the development of Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes to acquire and load data from internal and external sources
  • Collaborating with developers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SME) to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs
  • Designing and maintaining CI/CD processes for Enterprise Analytics
  • Deploying Reports, SQL Database Objects and Applications to On-Premise and Cloud Environments
  • Consolidating issues for further review and developing clear written recommendations that require minimal editing, then presents to and resolves issues with management
  • Utilizing API integrations to support Enterprise Analytics initiatives
  • Maintaining and monitoring GitHub, Power BI, and other BI platforms
  • Identifying and using appropriate investigative and analytical technologies to interpret and verify results
  • Coordinating with the business to ensure follow-up and resolution of exceptions, including specific individual resolution as well as root-cause analysis and control gap identification
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Possess a Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science or related technical fields in combination. A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Intelligence/Data Analyst as a primary job function, preferably in the banking industry.
OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong background using PowerBI, Power BI API’s and Cmdlets, GitHub or other business intelligence visualization tools
  • Strong background in Python and SQL syntax and familiarity with relational database structures as well as API Integrations
  • Knowledge of Git or equivalent source control system
  • Knowledge of implementing Trunk-Based Development, Git-Flow or other branching models.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Kimball Data Warehousing and Star / Snowflake Schemas
  • Experience working within agile methodologies
  • Experience in Plotly Dash Enterprise preferred
  • Prior experience creating Tabular SSAS Data Cubes preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write and communicate reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to work with moderate mathematical concepts. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Prioritizing and working autonomously yet collaboratively when necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The pay range for this position is $53,954 to $89,023 per year (in CO & WA), and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location.
