About the Role:
- Work with customers, end-users, technical analysts, and application designers to define the data requirements and structure for business intelligence (BI) applications
- Design models for the data warehouse or data mart (data structure, storage, and integration)
- Work with the business to aggregate large data sets for use within BI solutions
- Create specifications for reports, data and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
- Develop, design, document and optimize complex SQL queries
- Provide actionable, accurate and timely ad-hoc analysis for immediate business decisions.
- Determine the best ways to transform data to be used to build the best visualization
- Develop strategies for data acquisition and integration of the BI platform’s data engine
- Support IT/Operations with IT issues and respond to questions as the need arises.

Who we would like to meet
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or any IT and/or Business-related discipline
- Generally, 4+ years’ experience in data management and data warehousing technologies related to data modeling, database design, ETL development, and BI reporting
- Excellent SQL and data warehouse skills. Experience writing complex queries on large data sets
- Expertise with Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with Business Intelligence Platforms: Power BI, Sigma, and Looker
- Understanding and experience with designing building data models that drive decisions
- Expertise with cloud database technologies like Snowflake
- Understanding of data modeling skills (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design - with both traditional 3rd normal form as well as dimensional modeling, such as star and snowflake)
- Experience dealing with large data sets
- Advanced Excel skills
