About This Role:
Kansas State University Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina is seeking an experienced Business Manager to oversee and manage the campus budget, revenues, and expenses. In addition, this position will be responsible for:

Reviewing and organizing all funding for campus to determine availability for salaries, operating budget, construction projects, large equipment purchases, etc.
Supervision and daily management of Fiscal Services unit
Managing and overseeing auxiliary contracts and vendor services
Managing the campus Cashier's functions, including auditing and enforcing policy relative to cash handling and internal charges
Acting as administrator for accounting software
Reviewing contracts, agreements, and MOUs for operational ability to comply, as well as negotiating terms with external customers as needed

What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Three to five years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field highly preferred.
MBA
Experience in accounting in higher education
Prior experience in managing human resources and accounting staff
Prior experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring budgets in an educational environment
Demonstrated proficiency in reporting and financial analysis
Demonstrated experience communicating complex financial information to internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, regulations, and principles of higher education accounting and financial reporting
Bilingual English/Spanish
Experience with MIP Fund Accounting or Sage Intacct
