Job description
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will be expected to focus on the business and technology needs of the Justice Mental Health Collaboration Grant. This individual will be responsible for facilitating project team meetings with technical and business staff members, making recommendations for improvement as needed, and analyzing data collection systems and data points in accordance with performance measures. The BSA will be expected to create, analyze and validate information related to the Stepping Up Initiative 4 Key Measures by facilitating stakeholder meetings, collaboration with programmers, maintaining an understanding of how data is shared, how systems are integrated, and the results of any changes that may occur.
The successful BSA will serve as a liaison with strong organization skills, documentation abilities and project management skills, and should have an understanding of the security of protected data and maintain accurate documentation. This position is within the Sheriff's Office but will have contact with several other justice partners such as Probation, Behavioral Health, court systems and legal representatives.
Minimum Qualifications
A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Examples of qualifying education and experience include:
Business Systems Analyst I: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems AND one year of experience involving business process analysis, systems planning, information systems, and/or project management.
Business Systems Analyst II: In addition to the above, two years of experience equivalent to a Business Systems Analyst I with the County of San Luis Obispo.
Business Systems Analyst III: In addition, one year of experience equivalent to a Business Systems Analyst II
