Buyer at the MB Pavement Muncy, PA Business Unit.
Summary: :Purchases parts, materials, and equipment and assists in the receiving of goods into the organization. Coordinates with stockroom personnel to fulfill production orders by pulling parts and finding material solutions. Reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Examines and analyzes purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contacts department or initiator to clarify or complete information; determines method to process requisition based on dollar amount, timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding.
Identifies requesting department needs and develops and refines specifications for commodities, supplies or equipment.
Assists departments in initiating requisitions, orders and solves any problems with orders.
Assist Supply Chain Manager to purchase, issue, expedite or buy parts.
Follows up on all purchase orders to make sure shipping deadlines are met.
Monitor inventory, conduct vendor returns, assist in shipment of product to customers
Receives incoming freight and issue to jobs or inventory.
Review invoices and reconcile to received product statements.
Supports F4T and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

The ideal candidate will possess: :
- A Bachelor’s degree and eight or more years of related experience
- Currently or most recently worked in a Buyer job roll
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- A background working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
- Solid negotiating skills
- High degree of mechanical aptitude.
