POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Buyer is to procure product from approved suppliers to fulfill unsupported sales orders and to replenish inventory for future anticipated usage. A Buyer will create, send, & confirm purchase orders to our suppliers, coordinate shipping & freight logistics to support the sales team, problem solve discrepancies, resolve delays for incoming shipments, and proactively communicate with our customers and vendors via email and telephone.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Create, issue, confirm, and revise purchase orders
  • Enter and monitor special price quotations issued from suppliers to support special projects
  • Identify and resolve price discrepancies and lead times with
  • Proactively monitor and follow-up on shipping commitments of incoming purchase orders to ensure that customers’ required delivery demands are met
  • Communicate with approved suppliers to improve the delivery on any purchase orders that are delayed.
  • Reconcile daily purchase order reports to provide the team with accurate updates on incoming shipments
  • Collaborate with sales team to expedite the arrival of products
  • Coordinate and plan the shipping and freight logistics of incoming orders with freight forwarders and suppliers
  • Accurately receive and post incoming shipments in ERP system
  • Accurately create monthly stocking orders to replenish stock
  • Effectively problem solve sales order conflicts to minimize client impact

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 years of progressive experience of hands-on office experience in an administrative, coordinator, or related support role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Position may require travel: Up to 10%
  • Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
