Job Announcement

Independently performs as the department's p-card manager under general supervision of the Buyer II. As the p-card manager this position manages the police department's 300 plus credit card in every facet. Pulls information from PaymentNet weekly, accounts for receipts weekly and performs monthly reconciliation. Assists with contract management and must have basic knowledge of the county's Purchasing Resolution and other purchasing procedures for monitoring contract performance. Assists with developing requirement needs for procurement. Based on information, determines whether Item for bid or request for proposal is best method of procurement. Provides recommendation on bid/proposal award.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer two years or more of procurement experience. Knowledge of the fundamentals of public purchasing; ability to use sound judgment in making independent decisions; ability to prepare clear and concise reports; ability to collect and analyze data; ability to maintain effective working relationships with the public and other county officials. Experience using an SAP based system conducting finance, budget, and procurement business functions.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, credit check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 10- pound boxes. Must be able to handle standing and sitting for extensive periods of time. Must be able to operate equipment necessary to complete tasks. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
