You will join a team that identifies and evaluates threats to U.S. use of space for military, intelligence, civil, and commercial purposes. A qualified individual is needed to lead the development of a distributed space surveillance telescope network.

Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance and US Citizenship
- 5 years' minimum relevant experience
- Master's Degree

Required Experience
- Leading clean-sheet architecture and development of complex systems software from high-level requirements
- Developing REST web services in Python and/or C++
- Programming user applications on Linux and Windows
- Knowledge of simple image processing techniques
- Object Oriented Software Design and Development
- Hardware and Software Integration
- Strong communications skills and be able to report results effectively

Additionally Desired
- Knowledge of control theory, astrodynamics, image processing and/or detection
- Agile software engineering methodology i.e., Scrum Master Certification
- Knowledge of MATLAB
- Containerization technology i.e., Docker, podman, etc.

Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Develop application software
- Write and implement efficient code
- Research, design, develop and implement software applications and systems
- Involved in system development and deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards
- Evaluate, design, and implement interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, cloud offering, system architecture, security, and characteristics of overall system
- Research, design, implement and manage software programs
- Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.
- Determine operational practicality
- Documents testing, client experience and maintenance of system corrections
- May partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards
- May develop and conduct unit tests
