TruCustom Cabinets is a full service custom millwork company providing home improvement services and commercial cabinetry services in Spring, TX and surrounding areas. We are hiring for a Design Manager.

The Design Designer is responsible for managing the design aspect. This includes acting as the clients’ point of contact for all design-related aspects of the project and partnering with the Superintendent throughout the construction phase. The Design Manager is also responsible for Marinating connections with customers and providing World Class Customer Service..

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead design meetings with clients, trade partners, vendors, and production team.
- Communicate promptly and clearly with client about timing and budget.
- Accurately measure existing structures and provide detailed as-built floor plans for design development.
- Develop professional and knowledgeable design concepts for clients to review based upon client interviews, idea books, and latest industry trends.
- Learn/Utilize Mozaik Cabinetry Software for CAD drawings for clarification, specification, and detail pertaining to scope of work or design .
- Leadership abilities in directing the team on each project, scope of work, possible nuances and material needed for completion of work
- Identify all products needed for the construction of the project, including client education, specification sheets, and plan documentation.
- Display appropriate sales skills in client meetings.
- Work with production team to resolve design issues during construction.
- Work in conjunction with the Superintendent, Shop Manager and Accounts Manager to generate costs for proposal.
- Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Primary Skills & Knowledge:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential design preferred.
- Proven Trach record of leadership and ability to learn
- Advanced proficiency in Mozaik, 2020 Design or similar CAD program.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe software.
- Construction knowledge, management, or field experience desired.
- Experience with client and subcontractor interface in residential & Commerical construction.
- Demonstrated ability to produce documentation for built projects, organize information, and manage workflow.
- Structural and detail design experience desired.
- Ability to identify and correct building nuances
- Ability to manage multiple projects through all phases of design
- Experience working in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work independently and self-monitor progress in order to meet expectations
- Driven to consistently improve skills and knowledge in the design and construction field
- Excellent communication, organizational and computer skills.
- Must have, and maintain a current & valid Texas driver’s license, a clean driving record and current auto insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
