Calibration Standards Data Analyst
A. Harold and Associates, LLC (AHA) is seeking qualified Data Analysts for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology Calibration (METCAL) Program. The position is located in San Diego, CA requiring onsite work at Naval Air Station San Diego California METCAL Calibration Library with remote work only when required by the customer.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Analyzes deficiencies and develops improvement plans, charts, and documents related to operational and programmatic effectiveness utilizing government furnished information (GFI)
  • Provides direct and specific operational support of the METCAL Central Technical Publication Library (CTPL)
  • Collects, organizes, and reviews technical and reference data requirements from NAVAIR Calibration Laboratories
  • Converts source documents and related NAVAIR correspondence into digitized format for duplication/dissemination
  • Maintains a module on Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command (NATEC) to host the METCAL manuals and applicable metadata with the capability to link with the Enhanced Library Management System (ELMS)
  • Provides METCAL sites with documentation and parts diagrams as requested for calibration laboratory equipment
  • Provides Program Management Support (management process and programming, plans, and documentation)
  • Provides Calibration Standards Configuration Management Support (CSCM) including but not limited to configuration management planning, configuration identification, configuration control, configuration change management, and configuration status accounting
  • Provides management, oversight, program analysis and continuous evaluation and/or improvement of various NAVAIR METCAL Program CALSTD elements
  • Responds to Accountable Property Officer (APO) requests and manages reporting requirements
  • Identifies and develops methods to resolve problems and/or manage issues that directly affect the accomplishment of NAVAIR METCAL functions
  • Collaborates with management to ensure operational requirements and priorities receive appropriate consideration
  • Communicates complex information, concepts, and ideas in an accurate, comprehensive and well-organized manner
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Education/Clearance:
  • College degree in Computer Science or a related field required or equivalent of at least 5 years’ work experience desired
  • Experience with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Metrology Calibration (METCAL) Program processes and procedures is highly desired
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and research skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (with key focal areas in Excel, Access, Word, Teams), Adobe Pro, SharePoint
  • Basic Export, Transform, and Load (ETL) and Data Cleansing knowledge
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
