***Training is to be completed in the first 45-90 days of employment at our Edwardsville, IL Home Office location. Upon completion of training, qualifying employees are eligible to work remotely. Dress attire for training is casual.***
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
6 months of call center experience OR 6 months of financial institution experience.
Personal computer experience to include Microsoft Windows applications.
Primary Functions:
Responsible for presenting and explaining a basic number of credit union products and services to members and assisting them to utilize these products and services. This person requires an ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members and to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Processes basic financial transactions for members including such functions as opening and closing of accounts, issuing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals from accounts, issuing certificates, drafts and other negotiable instruments.
- Responds to routine member inquiry regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, account discrepancies, adding or reducing service features on various accounts, and assisting members.
- Operates computer to accurately post transactions, access account information, balance transactions, and generally update member account transactions and information.
- Educates members and potential members on the products and services Scott Credit Union offers that may be of benefit. Makes referrals to the Loan Center, Mortgage Department or Retirement and Investment Services as needed.
- Performs such other member service functions that might be needed from time to time and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.

Work Schedule:
Full-Time Position; Monday - Saturday
Saturday Rotation as Scheduled
Varied hours and schedule depending on operational needs.
Location:
Edwardsville, IL Home Office; However, work location may change according to SCU staffing needs.
