POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Business Services Administrator and in accordance with the Christian mission and purpose of the Great Miami Valley (GMV) YMCA Association, the Camp Registrar is responsible for delivering high quality customer service to ensure that each child is registered properly, through computer data input, verbal communication, and handling of money transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serving as the primary receptionist for phone calls and all individuals who visit the office.
  • Directing phone calls to the appropriate person.
  • Welcoming parents, delivery personnel, staff candidates, vendors, and visitors to the camp office.
  • Making phone calls to current camp families to encourage registration and calling prospective camp families to encourage and sell new registrations.
  • Assist parents on the phone, in person, and via email with all registrations and questions pertaining to registration, payment arrangements, and all other inquiries.
  • Learn and maintain proficiency in the use of CampBrain software, Microsoft Office, and other computer based programs used to manage registrations and group contracts.
  • Work with business manager to process incoming payments.
  • Attend staff meetings, maintain records of interactions, parent requests, and director requests.
  • Record positive stories from parents about the impact camp had on their child.
  • Accept criticism or complaints from parents or group representatives and direct those complaints to the appropriate staff member.
  • Attend camp fairs to promote camp. These fairs sometimes fall on evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Willingness and ability to interact with people in a cheerful, energetic way for the duration of the shift.
  • Willingness and ability to promote camp as a life changing experience for a child.
  • Basic knowledge regarding use of a computer and willingness to learn CCG registration software and Office software.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Support the mission and brand of CCG and display positive and friendly attitude.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
