Job description

We are currently looking for part-time staff for our Wanamingo locations. We have 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm or 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm available during the week and 8:00 am - 4:00 pm available on the weekends.

At the present time, we are looking for caring individuals to fill the role of Direct Support Professional. The right candidates will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and guidance for residents during skills building activities
• Help develop and implement individual treatment plans for residents
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene
• Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
• Update resident case notes on a daily basis
• Ensure an appropriate staff-to-client ratio at all times

Preferred Skills:

• High school diploma/GED (unless still in school- we hire 16+)
• Some experience providing direct care to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Valid drivers license
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate about the care and well-being of others

Required Skills:

• Must pass a background check
• Must be willing to train in CPR and First Aid
• Must be willing to complete RSI training curriculum

We have FT and PT positions available in our Wanamingo, Zumbrota and Red Wing houses.
