Role and Responsibilities
Follows written work instructions- Works safely and uses all necessary PPE
- Escalates any potential safety or quality concerns
- Performs accurate quality control checks
- Maintains showcase standards through cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse by performing housekeeping duties, including picking up and dumping trash
- Handles tools and materials according to training/regulations and in a safe and proper manner
- Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment
- Ability to stand for prolonged period
- Assemble and build crates, skids, pallets, and/or other special packaging
- Assist other carpenters or packers with packing duties
- Complete hood boxes, heat shrink, and vacuum pack
- Block and brace containers and flat racks
- Build complex and custom boxes as assigned
- Ensure finished product is of DGM quality standards
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2+ years of carpentry experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Quality Focused
- Attention to Detail
- Time Management
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Forklift Experience preferred
- Hand tools experience required
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Read a tape measure and apply basic math skills
