Job Summary:
Responsible for meeting business demands as well as discovering potential improvement areas through collecting, entering, and analyzing data, mostly pertaining to rating.
Essential Duties:
- Gather information from various sources that help to better understand the situation and use the information to find a solution.
- Identify and interpret patterns and trends, assess data quality and eliminate irrelevant data.
- Seek out experts in the area related to the task and learn more about it and potential solutions. May also request the assistance of other analysts.
- Communicate the results of analysis performed to decision makers and other area affected by the results. Must include tools that can help those involved easily digest the information.
- Effectively communicate through shared software, email, IM, or face to face.
- Ongoing demonstration of commitment to meet SLAs, project objectives and timelines
- Offer solutions, such as a new process, training method, technology, etc.
- Provide insight to database design and management, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collect data from a variety of sources.
- Enter the information into the system using manual key-entry or mass upload, and ability to look for duplicated, outdated, or irrelevant information.
- Offer recommendations about methods used to collect, analyze, and manage data to improve data quality and efficiency of data systems.
- Train new employees in new procedures and protocols, assist with new installations, operations, and maintenance of new technologies, as well as assist with monitoring the system, and providing support.
- Great ability with numbers, from simple calculations to complex algorithms
- Works closely with clients and internal development teams to define scope and project requirements
- Determine type of change required; define functional system tasks related to projects;
- Lead participant in planning sessions;
- Writing and communicating descriptions of business needs and system program functions through specifications
- Managing DB2 table builds, loads, and ongoing maintenance;
- Execution and delivery of renewal communication, plans, and premiums to customers
- Provide quality service to business areas and client; develop, research, analyze, and document specifications for minor projects, change requests, report requests, and problem calls
- Estimate, manage, and track activities to a timeline;
- Maintain project and SLA priorities
- Establish and maintain positive client business relationships across the organization;
- Regular attendance in order to meet business objectives
Qualifications/Requirements (Required):
- Intermediate to Advanced level actively working in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Project and Visio
- Proficiency in Windows.
- Proficiency with automated workflow tools.
- Proficiency with automated query tools.
- Running queries in mySQL
