Charlie Health has set out on a mission to reimagine how high acuity care is delivered to young people and families in crisis. Our initial offering is a virtual intensive outpatient program, which places peers with similar mental health experiences and goals into customized virtual groups. Our team of masters-level clinicians lead groups multiple times per week to deliver a higher level of care.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to ensure the insurance and patient payments are posted accurately and timely in the billing system. Communicate effectively with insurance companies, RCM team and leadership on any EOB or payment issues. Given the complexities of the insurance explanation of benefits, NSF and chargebacks, it's vital we have strong, analytical, focus driven individual in this role.

Responsibilities
- Import and review ERAs from payers and ensure posting is accurate per our contracted rates
- Accurately timely posts of payments from EFTs or checks from payers via mail from all centers
- Daily balancing and cash posting auditing
- Complete month end reports of daily cash receipts and daily cash journals
- Identify short/over-pays and notify leadership team of inaccurate payments
- Work zero pays and denials and forward to appropriate revenue cycle teams for corrections
- Continually keep abreast of technology changes, payer specific billing changes, and medical practice standards through ongoing training and self-directed research
- Additional functions as deemed appropriate
Requirements
- Must be located in Nashville, Tennessee.This is a hybrid role (3 days in, 2 days out).
- Knowledge of payer specific billing requirements
- Experience in navigating clearinghouses
- Highly organized and able to track workflows through various tools
- Proficiency with medical record technology required
- Proficiency in Microsoft office required
- Familiar with CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10
