Summary: Greets and collects payments for dining guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greets all guests; welcomes them into our facilities.
  • Collects payments for all guests dining in our unit.
  • Adheres to our company's cash handling policy.
  • Serves customers proper portions in an efficient and friendly manner, resolves customer concerns.
  • Interacts with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, and inventory and cash control procedures.
  • Washes, peels, cuts, and preps items as directed; weights and measures designated ingredients if necessary.
  • Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
  • Properly stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
  • Greets and assists guests in dining areas
  • Continuously restocks service stations in dining area
  • Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils; distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
  • Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for guests and fellow associates at all times
  • Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Uniforms: Uniforms (designated by brand or location) including name tags, slip resistant shoes, and provided hair restraint will be worn appropriately at all times while working in a neat, clean, and professional manner. Cleaning of the uniform is the responsibility of the associate.

Food Safety & Sanitation: Must comply, adhere to and follow all Compass Group Associate Food Safety and Sanitation and Compass Group Quality Assurance guidelines generated by the national Food Code in coalition with following the local Department of Health and Hospital Standards.

Physical Safety: Ensures all corporate safety guidelines are adhered to as per the Associate Safety Pledge and Handbook in addition to following OSHA standards.

Education and / or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
