Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Category Manager - Chemicals for our Marketing Department in Columbus, OH, location.

This position includes spearheading cross-departmental efforts to create marketing material and strategies for assigned product categories in order to drive revenue growth.

This position will report to our Category Management Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve a high understanding of assigned categories
  • Manage development and execution of marketing efforts
  • Creation of material for the company catalog, eCommerce, email marketing, product development, and social media.
  • Analyze data to establish priorities within product categories
  • Implement best practices for lifecycle management
  • Execute new product development processes (which include product testing and evaluation)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent work history
  • 2 - 5 years of experience with chemicals, preferably aerosols, penetrants, lubricants, and greases.
  • Demonstrated ability to both execute a vision and then implement it.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects, coordinating across multiple disciplines and teams, delivering successfully to challenging deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to thrive in creating win/win solutions
