Job description

We have a great job for a Caterer. The position requires someone who will be responsible for preparing and delivering meals to clients as well as staff. In this role, you will prepare food, stock and maintain the kitchen, and coordinate schedules with staff. You will also be in charge of ordering food supplies and equipment when necessary. You need to be a creative person who is willing to work hard and help out in any other area if needed. Above all, you must enjoy working with people and have an excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and manage all the details of social events (e.g parties, homecomings, holiday meals etc.).
• Provide catering services for business and personal gatherings.
• Prepare food for large groups using professional equipment and appliances and ensure quality controls are followed at all times.
• Recommend and order food supplies (e.g. drinks, utensils, tableware etc.).
• Maintain inventory of supplies on hand.
• Arrange for kitchen space, provide equipment and hire catering staff if necessary.
• Coordinate service staff to ensure efficient delivery of food to tables and ensure the event runs smoothly.
• Collect payments from guests and transfer money to the company account .
• Oversee cleanup to prevent messes from occurring.
• Monitor kitchen operations during special events (e.g. kitchen temperature, food quality etc.).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
