Job Summary

The Catering Services Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all catering events for a high-profile law firm in downtown LA.

This position supervises 10 associates and oversees the event order communications, scheduling and training of service staff, planning, delivery, and arraigning set up / clean up for all daily events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and oversees daily catering services
• Develops and maintains the catering standards and work with the Chef to create weekly menus
• Hires, trains, and schedules catering staff, and will be actively involved in the development of existing catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures
• Ensures successful operations of catering functions including labor cost control, foods cost control and preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all events
• Responsible for processing invoices, department transfers, payroll and month end PL accuracy
• Follow all Food & Workplace Safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2/3 years Catering Manager experience managing entire department
• Ability to work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings
• Able to manage multiple events simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Ability to build and sustain strong client relationships
• Ability to interact with diverse and high expectation customer base in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Ability to operate Web based catering program EMS (willing to learn), process customer requests, changes to orders, menu updates and client profiles.
• Proficient with MS Office products
• Ability to write professional and efficient emails to clients and customers.
• ServSafe recommended
