Southland Restaurant and Catering Moyock, NC is seeking an experienced food service / catering team member that will work with customers to secure large pan style chicken, bbq, and home style side items, proactively plan and schedule pick up times, proactively plan and coordinate offsite deliveries and setups, assist with batch prep, cooking, frying, and baking, assist with setup and breakdown of offsite events and special occasions. Available full time 36-40 hrs with consistent weekend availability a must.

Must have's:

Drivers License and clean driving record.

Ability to communicate well with customers and take orders through email, phone, or in person.
Ability to quickly create catering quotes, invoices and email, print or fax as needed to the customer.
Assist planning out catering orders and schedule for the demand of the kitchen at peak times.
Assist with preparing of bulk and take out foods and cooking to appropriate temps, packaging, and loading for customer.
Communicate with prep staff and kitchen manager of all order pick up times, special menu items or requests for all advance orders.
Assist with managing invoices and payments for all inside take out and catering sales, collections of deposits, and balances due.
Assist with managing all inventory for catering supplies and take out supplies, packaging in a cost effective manner.
Assist in building orders from kitchen and assemble check thoroughly for correct items and amounts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all catering vehicles, transport equipment, and storage areas.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work spaces, equipment, and checkout areas.
Assist with deliveries as needed for drop off catering and basic catering setup.
Able to solve problems with customers and offer solutions to assure a positive customer experience.
Refer all offsite and special event requests for catering to the offsite catering manager.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
