Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Cathodic Protection Technician to join our team! This position will primarily perform testing and installation of Cathodic Protection Systems in the Mid-Atlantic Region but may be requested to support other project locations within the continental United States when needed.

This position will be a key member of the Corrosion Control team. Duties include:

• Conduct specialized corrosion/cathodic protection surveys; analyze data, and report results.
• Assess and troubleshoot existing CP systems; recommend repairs and/or improvements.
• Perform CP installation, commissioning, testing, and CP system maintenance.
• Places great attention on error prevention and safety consciousness.
• Must be a self-starter, able to think independently, and budget time among multiple tasks.

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

• Minimum NACE-certified CP Level I (Technician), with ability to obtain CP-II within 6 months
• 2-5 years minimum field experience in cathodic protection testing and installation.
• Ability to work Independently.
• Work well in Team environment
• Preferred experience includes water & petroleum industry work.
• Ability to grasp and tackle complex assignments.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Safety-oriented
• Registered Vehicle & Valid Driver’s License
• Pass Background Check for Security clearance
• Must be US Citizen
