Job description

Looking for weekend driver for all local loads in the Phoenix area. You will never be over the road and these are dedicated routes. Will work 6-10 hours two days over the weekend and paid from the time you enter the truck and finish your post trip inspection.

We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver to collect and deliver supplies in a timely manner. You will spend most of your day driving and loading trucks with freight, hauling it to designated locations, and unloading the supplies. As a Truck Driver, you should be able to be on time to all appointments. Being punctual is essential when hauling thousands of pounds of supplies across many different locations. You will spend most of your time outdoors in various weather conditions. You should have good driving skills, as you will be operating heavy trucks on the road. Ultimately, you should work hard and ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and with little damage done to the truck.

Responsibilities:

• Drive trucks on scheduled routes and deliver goods.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, etc. to meet deadlines.
• Monitor the fuel in the tanks and refuel the truck when necessary.
• Make sure the load is secured and that all regulations are met for transport of goods (e.g. temperature, weight, hazardous materials etc.).
• Communicate with management about issues on the road (e.g. problems with the truck, delays or any other issues that hinder deliveries).
• Keep a log book of all deliveries to be paid according to distance traveled.
• Document all damage to trucks and report it to supervisors.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure it is up-to-date at all times.
• Follow safety procedures when driving on roads (e.g. not exceeding speed limits or avoiding dangerous situations) .
• Keep updated records of cost, time and distance for each route being driven.
• Assist customers with loading onto trucks or unloading from trucks.
• Ensure safe operations on the road by following regulations set by.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
