Job description

Deliver full trailer loads to a designated meet-point in a timely manner, while communicating effectively to Supervisor & fellow drivers. Uphold USDOT requirements & standards while reflecting the quality and service for which Hörmann is known. The typical schedule is a 4–5-day workweek, home on the weekends. Provided is a 2021 super clean sleeper cab.

Essential Duties

• Timely & efficient transport to a designated meeting point
• Perform drop & hook procedure, with various trailer types.
• Safely climb in and out of a tractor cab and trailer; sit for extended periods of time in a truck tractor; reside in sleeper cab while on the route.
• Operate a tractor/trailer combination efficiently, in all types of weather, while safely transporting non-hazardous materials.
• Drive for extended periods of time & sleep in sleeper berth.
• Heavy focus on DOT HOS compliance.
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat & kneel as necessary to secure freight or maintain equipment.
• Perform vehicle inspections required under section 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations
• Maintain a current Class A
• Maintain a current DOT Physical card
• Operate and maintain records in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), Department of Transportation (DOT) and company policies as required.
• Provide excellent communication with Supervisor & fellow drivers.
• Prompt daily attendance

Essential Job Skills and Experience

Education/experience: Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be:

• Possess and maintain a valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• 21 years of age or older
• Safe driving record and history
• 1 year minimum, recent & verifiable, Class-A driving experience
• Must pass road test.
• No substance infractions in the past 5 years & no more than 3 major violations in the past 3 years.
• Pass DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals.
• Have current DOT physical card.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
