Job description
- Conduct lab tests that involve mainly cement, water and oilfield chemicals by following standard lab testing procedures
- Input lab data into the proper databases
- Order lab supplies and maintain laboratory safety and cleanliness
- Prioritize and complete tasks assigned to you by your supervisor
- Duties relating to lab testing include mixing chemicals with water to make fluids
- Operate standard oilfield lab equipment such as a cement consistometers, ovens and water baths, bench top rheometers (viscometers), water analysis kit, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mathematical skills
- Proficient in MS Excel program
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell;
- Lift more than 50 pounds
