Experienced front and back office Medical Assistant needed with a minimum of 3-5 years of prior experience (at least some of which must be assisting a surgeon), who is dependable, positive, patient-focused, and organized with a team-player attitude.Current Medical Assistant Diploma Or Certificate required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a clinical setting.
• Must be computer literate with excellent grammar and typing skills: (Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR programs)
• Must type at a minimum of 35 wpm.
• Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
• Greet and assist all patients in person or by phone.
• Schedule, reschedule, confirm patient appointment in a timely manner.
• Verify Insurance coverage, determine patient eligibility.
• Generate letters for authorizations.
• Prepare charts, copy, scan as needed.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Obtain medical history, together with the doctor, interview, and educate clients ensuring informed consent, record the findings of physical exam performed by doctor.
• Reconcile billing at the end of patient visit, communicate with billing Co.
• Medically knowledgeable and willing to learn.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks in a timely manner.
