What is the Schedule?
Day shift hours: 6 am – 2 pm and Night shift: 10 pm – 6 am. All positions include every other weekend. The full benefit program is available for positions of 4-5 shifts/week; positions of 1-3 shifts/week are also available.
What are the Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant?
The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for the following:
· Give general personal care to residents including baths, toileting, hair grooming, oral hygiene and assist the resident in positioning, range of motion and dressing.
· Take and record residents’ weight, temperature, Intake and Output and chart according to applicable Shorehaven, State and Federal regulations.
· Provide for the safety of the resident in use of mechanical supports, bed check/chair check restraints, etc., as instructed according to applicable Shorehaven, State and Federal regulations, and document on appropriate flow sheet.
· Report to Nurse in charge any changes in residents as to their skin conditions, injuries, appetite, emotional needs, etc.
· Function in a professional, calm manner in emergency situations to include transporting residents.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
· Requires education normally acquired in four (4) years of high school or equivalent.
· Supplementary education of specialized Nurse Assistant Training.
· Certified notice of inclusion in the Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide Registry.
· Minimum of 18 years of age, or 16 years of age when hired through a high school co-op program.
