Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Riverhills Health and Rehab Center in Kerrville, nestled in the middle of the beautiful hill and wine country of Texas, provides short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services to the senior population in our community. Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Helps provide rehab services to persons with mental, physical, and psychosocial impairments under the direction/supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.

• Maintain expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab

• Monitors therapy services to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement when necessary.

• Maintains patient occupational therapy records by recording resident’s progress and daily notes.

• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment

• Help as needed keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.

• Serves and protects the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

• Enhances occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Schedule: Preferably full time up to 40 hours a week depending on OT caseload. Part Time and PRN opportunities also available.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Current Texas licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant and NBCOT certification required.

• Current CPR certification preferred

• SNF experience preferred

• NetHealth EMR experience preferred
