Substance Abuse Counselor (LADAC, LPCC, LCSW or Similar State License)
HOY RECOVERY PROGRAM IS LOCATED IN VELARDE, NM - SEEKING LICENSED THERAPISTS (LCSW, LPCC, LADAC PREFERRED)

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Applicants must possess skill requirements to perform assessments on clients utilizing the computerized Addiction Severity Index (ASI) assessment or other related evaluation tools.

2) Must be capable of assisting clients in development and implementation of their personalized, individual treatment plans which address their self-identified, co-occurring treatment issues. Client treatment plans will be executed using various treatment techniques and therapeutic counseling skills associated with established national treatment standards for treatment of co-occurring disorders.

3) Provide individual or group therapy utilizing psycho-education cognitive behavioral methods, motivational methods, or other therapeutic modalities as assigned.

4) Prepare and maintain completed case files on all assigned clients, making sure that all required services, forms, and reports are included and complete.

5) Enforce and maintain policies, procedures, rules, regulations, guideline and adherence to and compliance with client services delivery, confidentiality, and ethics.

6) Completes reports to Admissions Coordinator for funding source.

7) Record client progress notes that are reflective of the treatment goals and objectives.

8) Assist with UA’s on occasion.

9) Assist other staff members in management of client’s emergencies.

10) Responsible for creating and maintaining a therapeutic and safe environment for clients.

11) Makes contact with clients and provides a minimum requirement needed for counseling sessions.

12) Development and liaison with various agencies to meet the needs of clients. Informing clients of services available and documents appointment with outside agencies.

13) Providing short-term coping and crisis intervention counseling.

14) Developing and maintaining of client health information (HIPPA standards) and in accordance with State and Federal law, and code of ethics.

15) Responsible for making referrals to specialist when necessary (i.e.: Rio Arriba case management, mental health services, medical services etc).

16) Arranging transportation when family, and other resources have failed.

17) Participation with clinical review and quality management review as required.

18) Attending staff meetings to discuss treatment plans, progress, treatment of individual clients and documents relevant staffing information.

19) Providing information on behalf of clients when required by agencies for outpatient services upon discharge.

20) Drafting discharge summaries and making referrals to appropriate agencies for outpatient services upon discharge.

21) Maintaining client files as required by Agency standards, program policies and management policies.

22) Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director / Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: BA or MA preferred from an accredited college or university with degree in Psychology, Social Work, Addictions or related health field. 2) Current LADAC/LPCC OR SIMILIAR. 3) Previous work experience totaling a minimum of two (2) years working with Clients with co-occurring mental health/substance abuse issues. Previous work experience providing individual and group psycho-therapy. 4) Must be computer literate to be in compliance with funding sources and computerized assessments, data collection, etc. 5) Must have a valid and current New Mexico Drivers License, clean driving history, pass criminal history screening, and be able to pass a drug screen. 6) Must have a negative TB test. 7) Must be able to maintain confidentiality of clients and family information to include all medical information and HIPAA requirements. 8) Must have the willingness to expand knowledge and skills in the field of substance abuse and counseling methods and renewal of counseling license. 8) Ability to work as a team member within the mission and philosophy and values of Hoy Recovery Program. 9) Applicant must be proficient in using the latest technology/software to complete all mandated reporting. 10) Applicant must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English, Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish Speaking), and cultural sensitive. 11) Applicant must be available to work flexible days/hours and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
