We are a small six-bed residential perinatal treatment program for women in North Park. A majority of our clients stay 90 + days so SUD Counselors will have the opportunity to effect lasting change in the lives of the women we serve.

Each client is assigned a primary counselor and caseloads range from 1-3; however, at 6 clients maximum, it is expected to aid with all clients as the counselor.

Counselor works closely with the program's integrated team to provide evidence based trauma informed, gender responsive, culturally competent, client centered services to individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Due to the size of the program, counselors are required to also complete case management duties weekly in addition to meeting with clients for 1:1 sessions. Counselors are required to facilitate from 2-3 groups per shift and have time management to ensure documentation is completed and filed prior to end of shift.

The SUD Counselor reports to the Lead Counselor and Executive Director.

Counselor would be responsible to adhere to all policies, procedures and data collection requirements in a timely manner. Maintain up-to-date record-keeping, documentation, and client filing system. ASAM knowledge a plus, but willing to train.

Must pass a criminal background check. Must have a clean driving record and have ability to drive with active and current drivers license and insurance.

Must be able to work weekends and late afternoon/evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
