Vertiv is hiring a Channel Account Representative (Federal) in Columbus, Ohio to provide sales support for our channel segments. Provide both reactive phone and e-mail sales support and engage in proactive business development efforts to grow Channel Sales. This position is primarily responsible for prospecting, onboarding, and developing territory resellers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard IT Resellers into the Vertiv Partner Program.
  • Manage, develop, and grow channel sales within the 100-300+ existing reseller accounts in a designated region.
  • Utilize proactive calls, emails, and social media outreach to build relationships with current and potential resellers.
  • Schedule and deliver Vertiv Sales and Technical trainings to both current and potential resellers.
  • Hold account mapping sessions with resellers to identify new opportunities within specific end user verticals.
  • Keep resellers informed on all current promos, new product launches and Vertiv Partner Program updates.
  • Meet assigned territory sales quotas, OKRs and KPIs.
  • Coordinate selling campaigns, qualify leads and coordinate customer introductions. Work in partnership with other sales employees to increase sales revenue.
  • Provide dedicated support to answer or coordinate responses for all requests from assigned customers. Assist customers to determine the best solution for their needs.
  • Understand and communicate company product or services features and benefits and promote the advantages of our company to assigned customers.
  • Answer basic technical questions about Vertiv products.
  • Provide quotes, information on product availability, pricing, and competitive portfolio cross-referencing suggestions.
  • Generate, update and track CRM opportunities, whether originated or assigned.
  • Review company inventory, shipping deliveries, manufacturing timeline, etc. to ensure products and services desired can be delivered to customer given their expectation/need.
  • Re-direct calls as appropriate to other departments such as technical support, services, or application engineering.
  • Participate in sales events to educate and promote products and services.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1-3 years of sales experience or experience with IT Resellers is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of technology including software, hardware, and/or networking is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM management.
