Job description

This position is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Ensures exceptional guest service and creates an inviting atmosphere. Follows company and brand standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Listens attentively, takes orders accurately, and uses proper serving techniques
• Understands and follows company service recovery program
• Adheres to all health regulations and local liquor laws
• Follows all cash handling and POS procedures
• Completes all assigned duties within or outside the normal scope of responsibilities
• Serves food and beverages and maintains a clean and safe work area in accordance with company, local, state and federal regulations
• Assists in the restaurant, assists bartender and works as a team player to ensure all guest needs are met

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older to serve alcohol (based on state regulations)
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification is required
• Ability to speak, understand, and write English to meet guest’s needs
• Maintain a predictable and reliable attendance

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis
• Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods
