SVS Group is currently lookign to hire an Experienced Chemical Compounder for one of our best Chemical Manufacturing Plants here in Mesa, AZ. You will have typical Chemical Compounder job duties to include:

• Maintain a “safety first” attitude at all times. Maintain safe working habits by following established OSHA and company safety practices and policies (IE: Proper PPE practices, Housekeeping, Incident Reporting and Prevention).
• Read work instructions and execute production and rework batches with high quality in various mixers and chemical reactors.
• Operate and tend to automatic and manual processing equipment including tanks, pumps, valves, agitators, etc.
• Follow all established SOPs including process, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Record weights, temperatures, and pressures during operations per batch ticket instructions.
• Recognize and understand abnormal situations or deviations from process instructions and communicate to supervisor or plant engineering.
• Follow SOPs should an alarm condition exist and take necessary actions to minimize danger to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work space by performing routine housekeeping and 5S activities.
• Maintain accurate chemical inventory by reviewing work orders, selecting/picking raw materials from stock, using the correct quantity, labeling containers, and restocking containers when done.
• Participate in teams to drive change in regard to safety, quality, production, continuous improvement, and improved employee relations.
• Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of Chemical Compounding Experience
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with multiple departments across the organization.
• 1-3 years of prior manufacturing or warehouse experience required.
• Experience working in a chemical manufacturing or chemical blending environment preferred but not required.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001, Lean, Total Quality Management/Continuous Improvement environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers in all positions to maintain a high level of customer service and respect plant wide.
• Knowledge of production processes utilizing hazardous materials and requisite safety considerations.
• You must be open to working 1st Shift - Monday - Friday 5am - 2pm plus overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
