Job description

Integrated Magnetics is looking for an chemical engineer to perform chemical engineering analysis and chemical manufacturing development for new and existing projects involving electro-mechanical devices and magnetic assemblies in the Tucson, AZ manufacturing plant. The company is receiving many high profile projects involving innovative technologies including examples from electric jet turbines, control rod actuators in use for nuclear applications, etc. The company is partially employee owned on an ESOP plan and candidates who stay with the company will receive shares in the company over time as part of the retirement benefits package.

Qualifications
- Familiar understanding of basic chemical engineering principles including: electro-chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, themodynamics

- Develop standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests for chemical processes incluing electro-less nickel plating, electrolytic plating, plasma cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, etc.

- Conduct chemical analysis and physical propety testing of materials and products

Education:
- At least a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university, prefer Master's degree in Chemical Engineering

The candidate needs to be security clearable to Department of Defense and/or Department of Energy standards since the company works on military projects as a defense contractor for the US military/aerospace industry and nuclear energy industry projects that involve access to security confidential information.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
