As a Chemical Engineer, your primary duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing Engineering activities including those in support of, or as a qualified Design Authority for Inner Area End States systems and facilities.
- Writing reports, maintaining a spare parts inventory, investigating equipment issues, specifying equipment compliant with required standards and compatibility with chemical systems, generating and revising operating procedures, generating designs, generating calculations, and providing technical support to processing operations. All work to be performed in compliance with Engineering procedures.
- Interfacing with Operations personnel and monitor sample data.
- Preparing engineering evaluations of chemical compatibility, and technical documentation required for chemicals of potential concern in facilities that are preparing for or undergoing the process of cold and dark, and demolition.
Basic Qualifications
* Career Level Grade 18: BA/BS degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field, plus 6 years of relevant experience
- Senior Level Grade 20: BA/BS degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field, plus 10 years of relevant experience
- US Citizen.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Ability to qualify as Design Authority.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Previous experience working at a DOE facility.
- Experience in process design.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on 40 hours per week:
- Career Level Grade 18: $101,525 - $128,075
- Senior Level Grade 20: $122,813 - $154,838
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
