Purpose
Do you have a passion for providing non-profit technical support to a program serving children involved in the child welfare system?
CHERISH (Children Encouraged by Relationships in Secure Homes) is seeking to hire someone with skills in administering a Learning Management System, maintaining a WordPress website, and provide ongoing support for a new program database.
This position is grant-funded and grant-dependent. It is currently funded through 5/31/24.
Salary Range (.5 FTE) is $37,784.5 - $45,000
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Regarding the Learning Management System
- Collaborate with team to design or suggest flow changes to increase performance of various pages.
- Ensure optimal user experience and page load speed on desktop and mobile.
- Design and participate in quality assurance testing of new courses and LMS functionality
- Ensure all video content streaming is optimal for front-end users (i.e. Vimeo).
- Ensure the learning management system meets desirable results for the needs of the program.
- Troubleshoot user and course issues on LMS.
- Administer, update, and maintain the learning management system.
- Provide reports on LMS usage and other key performance indicators
· Regarding the WordPress CHERISH website:
- Update design of password-protected portion of website to match that of public-facing portion
- Work with stakeholders to review current website content
- Monitor content and needed updates to website: cherish.kindering.org
- Work closely with program staff to adjust website pages as needed
- Support trainees from other agencies in their website-related needs
- Administer, update, and maintain the WordPress website
· Regarding the CHERISH database:
- Work closely with database designer to assist with the CHERISH client database under construction and then maintain it once it is completed
- Provide ongoing feedback to database developer through database testing and information gathered from database users
- Work closely with the CHERISH Program Coordinator and CHERISH Program Planner to provide data to stakeholders via database reports
Required Education & Experience
- Demonstrated experience with LMS and WordPress Administration
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in developing and enhancing WordPress-based websites
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and
- Strong knowledge of WordPress Platform (plugins, theme customizations, short codes, etc.)
- Experience in web services, XML & JSON API structures, and AJAX.
- Good understanding of SEO principles
- Knowledge of MS-SQL Server and database testing preferred
- Experience working in a non-profit preferred
- Ability to work closely with clinicians and trainers who are not tech-savvy
- Skills in communicating technical information to a non-technical audience
- Self-starter who is detail-oriented, organized, and flexible, with good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Job is hybrid/mostly work remotely with some in-office meetings at our North Seattle office
Minimum Prerequisites
- Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check.
- Demonstrate organizational skills, ability to follow through on assignments on time and with accuracy, skill in providing clear written and verbal communication, ability to keep up-to-date written and electronic documentation
- Will strictly maintain confidentiality of all client information
- Have access to reliable transportation
- Demonstrate proficiency in using MS Office
- Pass tuberculosis test
- Ability to show proof of current immunizations, including COVID-19 and MMR vaccine or titer test*
