Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer for a leading shell contractor based in Tampa Bay, Florida. The role is an exciting opportunity for a resourceful CFO with high-volume residential construction experience. Reporting to the CEO and supporting numerous markets, the CFO will have extensive accounting, finance, and operations experience and be responsible for the overall financial plans and policies including management of accounting, cost accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax, and risk management. The position will be responsible for developing internal policies for controls related to sales, purchasing, construction, job starts, and the closing process.
Key Objectives
- Responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to the CEO and executive leadership.
- Ensure that financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports accurately reflect the operations.
- Responsible for analyzing, improving, and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Directly involved in all aspects of operations to ensure the financial health and well-being of the enterprise.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies in coordination with corporate accounting.
- Lead the controller functions and carry out management responsibilities for all accounting operations.
- Responsible for training accounting and finance team in effective use of the accounting system.
- Assist in development and testing of solutions developed by the IT team.
- Participate in the strategic and management planning for all business entities.
- Provide leadership and support of all external tax, auditor, and regulatory requests.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience required.
- 5+ years prior experience in shell contracting and production home building preferred.
- Four-year accounting degree with an advanced degree and CPA preferred.
- A track record of leadership in fast-growing organizations and building high-performance teams.
- Must be competent in presenting ideas, concepts, and technical strategies in individual and group settings.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
